After commercials the holoscreen turns to your favorite news program "Hapan News Network". The opening tune is replaced by the lovely news anchor Anacia Chalcedon.
"Good evening, fellow Hapans, this is Anacia Chalcedon with the Hapan News Network. Some people have been anticipating this event for the last year, while others just want to see it over. We're now turning to our sport commentator Kaïd Katsumoto who will fill you in with the latest. Kaïd?"
The view of Anacia is replaced with a view of what appears to be the docking bay of a spacestation, where several brightly colored fighters are scattered around the bay with mechanics running all over the place. The camera pans to the right to reveal a commentator with his microphone.
"Yes, thank you, Anacia." the HNN Commentator speaks. "It's that time of the year again people. We are only moments away from the start of the yearly Cluster Race. As many of the fans know this is a race across the cluster, where several markers need to be passed and although there are rules we have seen in previous races that there will always be people who want to 'bend' those rules."
"Now to the race itself, we have a starting field of 42 ships of which we expect less then half to actually make it to finish line. Expectations are high from last years winner Emma Solis and again the bookmakers think she'll take the win this year. According to sources she's constructed a totally new engine for this year and we'll see how it holds."
"Miss Solis isn't the only one competing for the title. First year competitor, but veteran racer Aerhart Zabirov and ex-champion 'Breaker' Vermillion are expected to not give her an easy race."
"As we go over the race line-up we come across a name not unfamiliar to the fans. After being absent from the races for at least 5 years he is once again competing. Yes, I'm talking about Domenic Carlyle, ex-champion who had a horrific accident during one of the previous races and who was expected to never fly again. Unknown to many Domenic has been training in secret and with the construction of his new ship, some are seeing Domenic as the Dark horse who'll take away the title."
"From this position I will keep you posted on the race, back to the studio."
The screen returns to show the studio and Anacia.
"As you see it's again a great event within the Cluster and this is this the place where you heard it first."
"That's all we have for now, I wish you a pleasant evening and a goodnight."
The camera zooms out as the themesong plays.
