The HNN news symbol fills your holoscreen, until fading out along with the beginning music to display Anacia Chalcedon smiling at the viewers. The insignia of the Interior Region rotates in the corner for a moment before being replaced with a live feed view of what appears to be a crowd formed outside a hapan palace.
“Good evening, this is Anacia Chalcedon reporting on the latest developments at the Interior Region. We are about to witness an announcement to be given outside the palace of Jaakoria at the region’s capital, Kiduin. The Lord Regent himself is expected to be present. We have a reporter on site, Jake how are things looking over there?” The picture shifts to an eager looking reporter standing on a crowded field, smiling broadly to the camera.
“Anacia, the speech is just about to begin, we have yet to receive official word who will accompany Lord Regent Jaak to the podium that you can see behind me, but I can tell you I am as excited as you are to find out who is to be named the next Archon of the Interior…” His voice quietens as a hush goes over the large crowd, movement having being seen on the edge of the well lit podium… The camera zooms onto the figure of the Lord Regent and her immediately begins to speak, raising a hand for the crowd to quiet.
“Greetings Citizens of the Consortium… It is as always my pleasure to be standing here today. We all know there have been many changes and new appointments over the last months… Today there is another one of these grand moments. As we all I know I am a man of few words… so to waist no further time I would like to announce and officially appoint the new Archon of the Interior Region, Rector Averil Edana. Averil is a woman of many visions, a woman with a strong voice, one of profound wisdom and actions. I am sure her vast experience in administration and leadership will help to usher in a new era of advancement for the Interior and the Consortium as a whole.” Lord Jaak step back and gestured for Edana to take the podium. She walked and stood up strait smiling at the crowd.
“My fellow citizens, my colleagues, and hopefully my friends it is a vast pleasure to be standing before you today. I must say I was awed and surprised when the Royal Council and His Majesty appointed me to this position. I have much to start doing so to be brief I only wish to say a few words. I wish to tell you all my one wish, the wish that I hope us all to be a part of. I wish for us to work together to advance this great government even further. Time to pave roads and build complex’s within this region, and within the whole Consortium. I will work for the people, I will work for development, but most of all I will work to make sure this region fulfills our famous Hapan motto: “Honor, Pride, and Glory! Long Live the Consortium, Long Live the King!” She said raising a fist into the air. The crowd clapped as the camera zoomed out.
The picture begins to rise displaying the crowd and the poduim below becoming smaller and smaller before shifting back the studio with the ever smiling newscaster waiting.
“Thank you Jake, that was our correspondent from Kiduin, I await fervently to see what change our new Archon brings about to the region! This was the HNN news, good night.” Anacia nods and the ending music begins to play as the studio disappears from the view.
